Ulenaers Posts Career-Best Finish At Tucker

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Redshirt junior Kristof Ulenaers had the best finish of his collegiate career and finished tied for 14th at the William H. Tucker Invitational on Saturday as the Mean Green wrapped up the tournament at the University of New Mexico Championship Course.
Ulenaers shot an even-par 72 on Saturday after shooting a 67-77 in the first two rounds of play on Friday. It was just his second tournament since season-ending shoulder surgery in the spring.
"Really impressive for a guy who has played in two tournaments in the last seven months," UNT head coach Brad Stracke said.
The Mean Green finished 15th, as three players (one individual) made their debuts for the team – freshmen Alejandro Madariaga and Hiroki Miya, who competed as an individual, and sophomore Robert Garcia.
"It has been a slow start this fall, but we have a lot of golf in front of us," Stracke said. "We have some work to do from 150 yards and in this week. We're looking forward to playing Maridoe."
UNT will host the second annual Maridoe Intercollegiate at its home course in Carrollton, Texas.
