About the Meet
The North Texas swimming and diving season officially kicks off on Friday as the Mean Green head to Houston to take on the four-time defending American Athletic Conference champion Houston Cougars. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, spectators will not be allowed inside the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center on Houston's campus. The dual will feature three sessions, two on Friday at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and the final session on Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m. All three sessions will be live streamed on Houston Swimming and Diving's Facebook page with live results available HERE and via the Meet Mobile app.

About the Matchup
Houston has dominated the matchup, winning 10 of 14 duals including the last four. North Texas' last win against the Cougars came on October 31, 2015 when the Mean Green took down Houston by a score of 164.5-135.5 on Halloween day in Houston, marking North Texas' only win on the road in the matchup.

About the Mean Green
Brittany Roth begins her sixth season at the helm of the Mean Green coming off a fifth place finish at the 2020 Conference USA Championships. North Texas returns 23 letter winners from the 2019-2020 season including seniors and school-record holders Leigh Faires McGee and Meghan Miller. McGee enters the 2020-2021 campaign holding two individual school records (100 and 200 free) and as a member of two relay school records (400 and 800 free relay). Miller comes into the season after putting her name in the record books in platform diving at the 2020 Conference USA Championships.
