Forslund Notches Top-10 Finish to Lead UNT

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The North Texas men's golf team was led by junior Viktor Forslund's even-par 72 to close out play at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the Classic Club, as the Mean Green finished tied for seventh out of 21 teams, at 4-over par.
"It was a solid week for the team," UNT head coach Brad Stracke said. "It's fun to see this team competing and getting better week to week."
Forslund notched a top-10 finish by placing in a tie for ninth at 4-under for the tournament after his 69 and 71 in the first two rounds, respectively.
"Viktor really stepped up for us with his top-10 finish," Stracke said. "We are excited to see the progress he is making against some tough competition."
Redshirt junior Kristof Ulenaers and freshman Hiroki Miya both finished tied for 37th at 3-over for the tournament.
The Mean Green will resume competition on March 16-17, in Lafayette, Louisiana, at the Louisiana Classics.
