DENTON, Texas – The North Texas Mean Green women's basketball team is set to open the 2021-22 season with an exhibition contest against Texas Woman's University on Thursday night.
Tip-off at the Super Pit is set for 6:30 p.m. (CT). No radio or streaming will be available.
The North Texas women are looking to build off a strong campaign last year. The Mean Green finished the season with a 13-7 overall record and feature the Preseason Conference USA Player of the Year in Quincy Noble. The junior from McKinney, Texas, led the way for UNT with 17.8 points per game while shooting 42.6% from the field.
Head Coach Jalie Mitchell has improved her roster from a year ago adding three transfers and three talented freshmen to boast the green and white. In the Conference USA Preseason Coaches Poll, North Texas was voted to finish third, the highest projection under Mitchell.
