Redshirt sophomore Quincy Noble leads the team in scoring at 18.7 points per game. Sophomore N'Yah Boyd averages 12.9 and dishes out team-best 3.9 assists. Redshirt senior Madison Townley posts 8.3 points along with a team-high 8.2 rebounds.

Mahogany Matthews is second in C-USA with 2.3 blocks per game.
History between UNT and Marshall
The Thundering Herd own a 6-4 advantage over the Mean Green in a series that began during the 2007-08 season. Marshall won the first two meetings before UNT grabbed the next three. The Herd won the next four, but North Texas broke that streak by taking the most recent matchup last season.
Last meeting
HUNTINGTON, W. Va. (Feb. 29, 2020) – N'Yah Boyd dropped 24 points and Anisha George recorded her second straight double-double to lead North Texas to a 77-69 win at Cam Henderson Center.
Saturday's win was the first time North Texas beat Marshall (11-16, 6-10 C-USA) since head coach Jalie Mitchell's first season at the helm. It also marked the first road win for the Mean Green since Jan. 23 at UTSA.
Summer Jones scored 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor. Charlene Shepherd added eight points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Boyd got the Mean Green rolling in the first half with an exceptional performance from the 3-point line. The Mesquite-native finished the opening half with 19 points on a perfect 5-of-5 from beyond the arc. Her five 3-pointers are a new career high.
Best-Ever Mark in C-USA
The series sweep over Southern Miss last week allowed North Texas to tie for the most Conference USA victories in program history. The Mean Green also earned eight league victories in 2016-17 during head coach Jalie Mitchell's second season. Regardless of conference affiliation, the most league wins ever is 12, when UNT went 12-3 while in the Sun Belt during Mitchell's senior season in 2001-02 under head coach Tina Slinker. North Texas has a chance to tie that mark with four C-USA regular season games remaining.
Mitchell Making History
North Texas women's basketball had not ever won a game in Ruston with a series that began in 1989. That was until head coach Jalie Mitchell arrived. The program's first victory at LA Tech came two seasons ago in 2018-19 in Mitchell's fourth year, and with the win Feb. 6, North Texas has now defeated the Lady Techsters four times overall, all coming under Mitchell. The Mean Green were 0-12 all-time against LA Tech before Mitchell's arrival.
Shooting off the Rust
The last time the Mean Green returned to games following an extended break, the team struggling shooting from the field. In their return to the court against LA Tech after 18 days, North Texas shot a season-low 29-percent. The numbers decreased even further from outside the arc as the team connected on just 4-of-28 and at one point missed 16 consecutive 3-pointers. During the day two win, the numbers spiked to a 43-percent showing overall and more than doubled in accuracy from deep at 32-percent.
Efficient Freshman
Tommisha Lampkin has been a steady contender in the rotation for the Mean Green. In just under 11 minutes per game, the freshman forward averages 5.3 points on 57-percent shooting and 3.5 rebounds. Lampkin began her collegiate career with season-highs of 12 points and seven rebounds against Tarleton. Using the average per 40 minutes method, Lampkin is second on the squad in both scoring at 19.3 points per game and rebounding with 12.9.
Townley Pulling 'Em Down
If there is a rebound to be grabbed, Madison Townley is your best bet. The redshirt senior recorded a career-high 21 boards in the win at UAB Jan. 1 for the fourth-highest total in program history and the top performance in Conference USA this year. Townley ranks sixth in C-USA with her 8.2 per contest and is fourth in offensive rebounds at 4.1, good enough for 20th in the nation.
Starting Numbers for Lee
Since moving into the starting lineup, Rochelle Lee's statistics have increased significantly. In the past 10 contests, the redshirt junior forward is averaging 5.9 points and 3.6 rebounds, compared to 1.0 and 0.3, respectively, before being in the first five. In the victory at UAB Jan.2, Lee scored a career-high 14 points, and in the win over UTSA Jan. 9 she collected a career-high 11 rebounds.
A Noble Player
Quincy Noble has scored in double figures in all but one contest this season and has surpassed the 20-point mark five times already. Her career-high 30 points came at Louisiana Dec. 4, and she registered 28 at LA Tech Feb. 6. The redshirt sophomore guard has twice knocked down six 3-pointers, the fourth-highest single game performance from beyond the arc in program history. Noble's 18.7 points per game ranks fifth in Conference USA. She leads the league in 3-pointers made per game (3.2), which is 10th-best in the country, and is second in C-USA in 3-point percentage (39.3).
Free Throws Woes
The Mean Green have had trouble at the line, ranking ninth in Conference USA at 63.1 percent. However, three main contributors from last year have made marked improvements since 2019-20. N'Yah Boyd went from 57-percent last season to a much improved 68-percent. Madison Townley jumped from 51 to 59-percent, and Jazion Jackson has gone up 15 percentage points.
