DENTON - North Texas is set for the final two games of 10-straight that have been played on the road as they travel to Stephenville to take on Tarleton State in a doubleheader on Wednesday. The Mean Green (24-9, 6-2 C-USA) and Texans (14-28, 3-6 WAC) are meeting for the very first time as Tarleton is playing it's first season at the Division I level. The two teams were originally scheduled to play back in February to conclude the North Texas Invitational but rain caused the teams to agree to a doubleheader in Stephenville.Â
The Mean Green enter the midweek doubleheader on a 10-game win streak, one shy of tying the program record of 11. North Texas is currently outscoring opponents 56-10 over the last 10 games and have not allowed more than three runs in a single game since April 2. The Texans enter the matchups after being swept on the road at New Mexico State this past weekend, the sweep came after the Texans won their first ever Division I series taking two of three from California Baptist in Stephenville.
