DENTON - The North Texas men's golf team added a Big 12 transfer to its experienced roster, head coach Brad Stracke announced on Tuesday.
Tucker Allen, who will have three years of eligibility remaining, makes the move to Denton from Norman, Oklahoma, after competing in one event last year for the Sooners. He finished T34th at the Big 12 Colonial Preview after shooting a 223, including a career-low round of 68 in the event.
"Tucker will bring experience and a lot of talent to our team," Stracke said. "I am excited to have Tucker on board."
Outside of collegiate competition, the Tolar, Texas, native had a solid 2021 season after winning the Saguaro Amateur and the Grapevine Amateur and finishing as runner-up at the Southwestern Amateur.
The Mean Green begin competition Sept. 13-15, at their host tournament, the Maridoe Intercollegiate in Carrollton.
