Marzilio Leads the Way at The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Sophomore Vicente Marzilio led the way for the UNT men's golf team at The Hayt, which concluded on Monday at Sawgrass Country Club with the Mean Green ending up at 31-over par.
Marzilio was UNT's top finisher at 5-over par, good for a tie for 30th, and the Mean Green also saw Tucker Allen finish tied for 41st. Fifth-year Viktor Forslund finished tied for 47th at 9-over but led the team in Monday's final round with a 2-under 70 - the best score for a UNT golfer in the event
"That was not the result we expect but the guys fought hard for four consecutive tournaments and have improved immensely from the fall to the spring," UNT head coach Brad Stracke said. "The guys are going to have a few days off to get energized and ready to go for A&M."
The Mean Green will get back to competition on April 9-10, at the Aggie Invitational in Bryan, Texas.
