UNT Opens Play at C-USA Championship

TEXARKANA, Ark. - The UNT men's golf team opened play at the Conference USA Championship on Monday at Texarkana Country Club and enters the second round on Tuesday in a tie for sixth place at 4-over par, six shots back of fourth-place Southern Mississippi.
The top four teams after Wednesday's final round of stroke play will advance to Thursday's match play semifinals, with the final on Thursday afternoon set to decide the conference champion.
UNT sophomore was led on Monday by senior Lenny Bergsson and Diego Prone, who both shot even-par 72s and are tied for 17th on the individual leaderboard. Sophomores Tucker Allen and Vicente Marzilio, the defending individual conference champion, are tied for 31st at 2-over entering Tuesday's second round.
The Mean Green will be paired with UAB on Tuesday and will tee off beginning at 8 a.m., with Viktor Forslund, and ending with Prone, who will tee off at 8:32 a.m.
