Softball Earns No. 2 Seed In Conference Tournament

DENTON, TX – UNT softball is the No. 2 seed and will face a to be determined opponent Thursday at 12 pm CT at Lovelace Stadium in the 2022 Conference USA Softball Championship, the league announced Sunday.
North Texas will play either UAB, Charlotte, or Western Kentucky in its first game. UAB and Charlotte will square off on Wednesday, May 11 at Noon CT and the winner will play Western Kentucky Wednesday evening. The winner of the evening match will then play North Texas to start the day on Thursday.
Louisiana Tech and North Texas both received double byes as the top two seeds and will play their first matches in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
All games leading up to Saturday's Championship will be streamed live on ESPN+, while the title game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network at 12 p.m. CT.
The 2022 C-USA Softball Championship will be held May 11-14 at Lovelace Stadium and tickets are on sale now through the UNT ticket office.
