Women's Tennis Earns 16th Straight ITA All-Academic Honor

DENTON, Texas – The University of North Texas women's tennis program had five student-athletes named Division I Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athletes on Monday.
Jasmine Adams, Lucie Devier, Sophia Hummel, Liisa Vehviläinen, and Kexuan Zhou were recognized by the ITA for their academic accomplishments in 2022. Individual honors are awarded to student-athletes with a GPA of 3.50 or above.
For the 16th year in a row, the program was also named an ITA All-Academic Team with a GPA of 3.897. To earn the team honor, all varsity letterwinners must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above.
In 2022, 1,517 Division I Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 250 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
