Men's Basketball Hosts LA Tech Wednesday

DENTON — Riding a three-game winning streak and winners of eight of its last nine, the North Texas men's basketball team hosts Louisiana Tech Wednesday night at the Super Pit.
Wednesday's tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield on The Varsity Network app.
When North Texas (13-3, 4-1) and LA Tech (10-6, 3-2) meet it's always a close matchup. Over the last 12 meetings between the two schools, the average winning margin has been just 4.5 points. Five of the last 12 meetings have been decided by only one possession.
UNT though has won four of the last five meetings against LA Tech and two in a row at the Super Pit. The Bulldogs, however, are now under the direction of first-year head coach Talvin Hester who was an assistant at LA Tech from 2018-21. They've returned all conference guard Cobe Williams and forward Isaiah Crawford.
After Wednesday's game, North Texas hits the road to South Florida for a rematch with Florida Atlantic on Saturday and FIU on Monday.
