11/25/2023 9:03:00 AM | Men's Basketball
The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield.Â
North Texas (3-2) is coming off a dominate defensive performance last Sunday where they held Towson to just 39 points in a 26-point win in its third game of the Charleston Classic. The win was its largest victory of the young season for UNT. As of Friday, the 39 points they held Towson to was the fewest points an away or neutral site team had held an opponent to in a game in the nation this season.
On Sunday, the Mean Green welcome a Rams (2-1) squad who on Tuesday made a 19-point second half comeback to defeat Southern Arkansas on the road, 64-63, on a buzzer-beater by ASU's Willie Guy. The Rams host Arlington Baptist Saturday night before traveling to Denton.
UNT is 3-0 all-time versus Angelo State. The two schools last met on Nov. 5, 2018 with the Mean Green winning 89-55.Â
Angelo State competes in the Lone Star conference. The Mean Green have won 20 straight games over non D1 opponents.Â
Following Sunday's game, UNT has another decent break as they don't play again until Dec. 2 when they host Mississippi Valley State for a 1 p.m. CT scheduled tip.Â
The Mean Green enter Sunday having won 10 straight home games. You can purchase lower bowl tickets to Sunday's game against the Rams for just 10 dollars by clicking here.
