Softball Set for Home Opener

DENTON – UNT softball will host Wichita State and Northwestern State in the North Texas Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Lovelace Park. The Mean Green will begin its home schedule with Wichita State at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

UNT captured its fifth shutout of the season in a 6-0 victory over Tarleton on Wednesday with McKenzie Wagoner tallying her third win of the season. She currently sits atop Conference USA with a 0.34 ERA to pace a Mean Green pitching staff that have a combined 0.97 ERA, third in the nation.
