2023 C-USA Softball Championship Bracket Announced

DENTON – The 2023 Conference USA Softball Championship begins Wednesday, May 10 at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field in Ruston, La.
UNT softball (32-21, 16-8) earned the No. 3 seed and received a bye into the double-elimination portion of the bracket. North Texas finished a half game back from regular season champion Charlotte (32-19, 16-7) and tied with UAB (29-23, 16-8). The Blazers own the tiebreaker over the Mean Green after winning the season series two games to one on April 1 in Denton.
North Texas will face the winner of the single-elimination game between No. 6 Middle Tennessee and No. 7 Louisiana Tech. First pitch for North Texas is scheduled for at 5 p.m. on Wednesday with coverage on ESPN+.
The Mean Green won the tournament at home last season and advanced to its first-ever NCAA Regional. During head coach Rodney DeLong's tenure, the Mean Green hold a 5-4 record at the C-USA Championship.
