Mean Green Ready For Return to the Pool at OCU

DENTON - The North Texas swimmers will make their season debut on Saturday at 2 p.m., as they compete in the Sam Freas Invite, hosted by Oklahoma Christian, in Edmond, Oklahoma. The divers will make their competitive debut on Oct. 6 at UIW.
The Mean Green return several key contributors in the pool from last year's team, highlighted by juniors Shaena McCloud and Kailey Turner and seniors Diana Kolb and Tram Nguyen, who were leaders for the team in UNT's debut season in the American Athletic Conference.Â
UNT head coach Brittany Roth said she is ready to see the team, which also features a few key newcomers, compete for the first time this season.Â

"We're looking forward to racing this weekend at the Sam Freas Invitational," UNT head coach Brittany Roth said. "The swimmers have been really focused in this first month of training, and we're excited to kick off the season with this fun event. The team has been operating with a mindset of 'How bad do you want it?'Â and they've been taking the daily steps to build off of last year's progress and momentum. I'm looking forward to seeing where we are at in terms of early speed, so we can continue to build throughout the season."
