Women’s Basketball Announces American Athletic Conference Schedule

UNT set to play 18 league games in first year in the AAC
DENTON, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the 2023-24 UNT conference schedule under first-year head coach Jason Burton.
UNT will play in its first game as a member of the AAC on Saturday, Dec. 30 when they travel to Charlotte, N.C., to take on Charlotte followed by a trip to Temple on Jan. 2.
The first home conference contest for the Mean Green will be on Sunday, Jan. 7 when they host FAU inside the Super Pit. It will be the first of back-to-back home Sunday contests as North Texas hosts Wichita State one week later on Jan. 14.
The Mean Green will then hit the road for a pair of contests at SMU and at defending AAC regular season champion USF on Jan. 17 and 20, respectively.
UNT then returns to the Pit to take on Tulane Jan. 24 and UAB Jan. 28 before back-to-back road contests at UTSA on Jan. 31 and at Tulsa on Feb. 4.
SMU will return the trip to North Texas on Feb. 10 and will travel to Boca Raton, Fla., to face off against FAU for a Valentine's Day matchup on Feb. 14.
The final two road games for UNT will come Feb. 24 at UAB and March 2 at Rice.
Four of the final six conference contests will take place in Denton with home contests against UTSA (Feb. 18), Charlotte (Feb. 21), East Carolina (Feb. 27) and the season finale against Memphis (March 5).
This season will be the 50th anniversary of the UNT Super Pit as the Mean Green hosted its first basketball contest in the arena on Dec. 4, 1973.
Season tickets for the 2023-24 Mean Green men and women's basketball teams are available now at www.meangreentickets.com. Tickets start as low as $99 for men's and $75 for women's basketball. Fans can visit the UNT Athletics Ticket Office located at Gate 2 of Apogee Stadium between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
