Women’s Basketball Set to Face Road Test Against South Florida

Tampa, Fla. – The UNT women's basketball will put its four-game conference win streak on the line when it faces South Florida Saturday evening at 6 p.m. CT in Tampa.
The Mean Green have won four straight games after dropping its conference opener, including a dominant 76-51 win over SMU its last time out. UNT never trailed against the Mustangs on its way to its first win in Dallas since 1989. DesiRay Kernal and Tommisha Lampkin both recorded double doubles in the win, while Jaaucklyn Moore supplemented them with 15 points of her own.
While South Florida is 11-8 on the season and 3-3 in AAC play up to this point, the Bulls were selected as the preseason favorites to win the American Athletic Conference and have made three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Facing USF in Tampa has been a tall task for opposing teams as the Bulls come entered this season with a 110-20 record at the Yuengling Center since the 2014-15 season.
Saturday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Jim Louk and Savanna Collins on the call. The game can also be heard on the Varsity Sports Network with Zac Babb.
