LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The UNT men's golf team wrapped up the fall schedule on Tuesday at the Everett Buick GMC Classic at Chenal Country Club, after finishing up an incomplete second round from Monday's opening day.
The Mean Green finished seventh in the event at 2-over par and were led by freshman Blake Keen, who split a second-round 63 between the two days, which tied for the second-best score in program history, joining Thomas Rosenmueller and current LIV golfer Sebastian Munoz one shot back of the program record of 62. Keen's 63 was also the best single-round score in the field.
Keen finished tied for 16th at 1-under after his 76-63-76. UNT was led on the final day by Dawson Meek, who shot a 3-under 69 and finished tied for 35th over the two days. Joe Stover had his best showing so far with UNT, as a member of the lineup, with a T27 showing at 2-over par.
The Mean Green now take a winter break and will resume the season Feb. 2-4, at the Vaqueros Intercollegiate in Cancun, Mexico.
