The Mean Green's (6-3) Latrell Jossell scored a season-high 21 points and Brenen Lorient scored a career-high 20 points. However, the Panthers (9-2) outrebounded North Texas 32-25 and went to the free line 10 more times.
In the first half, there were five total fouls called but in the second half 44 total fouls. Three different Mean Green players fouled out.
"We aren't going to win many games giving up 40 in the second half," said head coach Ross Hodge. "We're still learning and growing as a team, just our third road game as a group, but we're going to need to be a lot more tough and gritty against a good team like (High Point)."
UNT has 12 days off before its next game when they host Mississippi Valley State on Dec. 18 at the Super Pit.
