Men's Golf Opening Season in Michigan

The Mean Green will open the 2024-25 season at the Island Resort Intercollegiate, where they finished third in last year's season opener.
THE EVENT: Sage Run Golf Club will play at 7,375 yards, and will be a par-72 course for the tournament. The two-day event begins Sunday and concludes Monday with 36 holes set for Sunday and the final 18 scheduled for Monday.
THE FIELD: There are 12 teams participating in the tournament: Boise State, Georgia, Illinois State, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Northern Illinois, Purdue, South Dakota State, St. Mary's, UCF, UNT, VCU.
REPRESENTING UNT: Competing for the Mean Green will be Dawson Meek, Alex Huang, Blake Keen, Dylan Allen and Key Coker. Joe Stover and James Tureskis will compete as individuals, as every UNT player will be making their Mean Green debut except for Meek and Coker. Huang and Keen will be making their collegiate debuts.

DF-DUB: The Mean Green feature five players who are native to Dallas-Fort Worth this year: Key Coker (Dallas), Alex Huang (Plano), Blake Keen (Burleson), Rohit Madireddi (Flower Mound), Joe Stover (Dallas). Coker and Stover were high school teammates at Texas powerhouse Highland Park and won a Class 5A state championship together.
UP NEXT: UNT will have a quick turnaround, as the Mean Green will head to Louisiana for the Argent Financial Classic in Choudrant, Louisiana, which will begin Sept. 8 and end on Sept. 10.
HOME SWEET HOME: The Mean Green golf programs are thrilled to have the Bruzzy's UNT Golf Practice Facility, which is a $3 million on-campus facility that features state-of-the-art technology, such as TrackMan, swing catalysts, indoor hitting bays, a short-game area and a PuttView indoor putting green.
