Men's Golf Opens Play in Michigan

HARRIS, Mich. - The UNT men's golf team opened up play at the Island Resort Intercollegiate on Sunday at Sage Run Golf Club and shot a 304-300 over the first two rounds, as the Mean Green sit in 12th heading into Monday's final round of play.
The Mean Green were led by senior Dawson Meek and freshman Alex Huang, who was making his collegiate debut, as both sit at 3-over par after each shooting an opening-day 76-71 and are tied for 21st. Sophomore Joe Stover, who is competing as an individual and making his UNT debut, is tied for 18th at 2-over.
The Mean Green will be paired with Illinois State and host South Dakota State for the final round on Tuesday and will begin teeing off at 7:30 a.m.
