Soccer Draws Road Preseason Friendly, 2-2

FORT COLLINS, Colorado — The UNT soccer team drew a preseason friendly Thursday night at Colorado State, 2-2.
Playing in their first exhibition of the 2024 season, the Mean Green came from two goals down on a damp night at the CSU Soccer Complex. After falling behind by two goals to the Rams early in the second half, North Texas junior Summer Brown scored in the 63rd minute to bring the Mean Green within one. Brown scored seven goals last season and is UNT's top returning goal scorer.
In the 75th minute sophomore Alexis Miller leveled the score. Miller played in 14 matches last season and scored against Rice.
Colorado State reached the Mountain West Conference Tournament title game last season for the first time in program history and returns its top 5 goal scorers from last year.
North Texas remains on the road as they'll play at Colorado on Saturday at 8 p.m. CT for its last tune up before the regular season begins on Aug. 15 when the Mean Green host Oklahoma.
