Softball Announces Fall Schedule

DENTON, Texas – UNT softball released its 2024 fall schedule which features six home contests at Lovelace Stadium, head coach Rodney DeLong announced on Wednesday.
In total, the Mean Green will play eight games over its fall slate including road meetings with Baylor and McLennan Community College, both in Waco, Texas. A member of the Big XII, the Bears advanced to the NCAA Division I Super Regionals last season while the McLennan Highlanders won 61 games and were finalists at the NJCAA College World Series.
A fresh-faced roster of 12 newcomers (nine freshman, three transfers) and 10 returners will take the field for DeLong in 2024-25 after a 10-player senior class left at the end of last season. Returners include all-conference selections RHP Skylar Savage, IF Cierra Simon and UT Tatum Sparks.
UNT posted its fourth-consecutive 30-plus win season and finished third in the American Athletic Conference in 2024, its first season as a member of the league.
