CORVALLIS, Oregon — The UNT men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season as they fell 66-64 at Oregon State Wednesday night.

The Beavers ended the game on a 9-0 run over the game's final two minutes to come away with victory.

"Of course, credit to Oregon State, they had their backs against the wall and fought back," said head coach Daniyal Robinson. "I'm proud of how hard our team played and we'll learn and grow from this."

The Mean Green (3-1), who were aiming for their first 4-0 start since 2018, had four players score in double figures Wednesday at Gill Coliseum against the Beavers (3-0). Senior Will McClendon led the way with 16 points, a season high for Sacramento native. Je'Shawn Stevenson added 14 and David Terrell Jr. scored a season high 13. Senior Dylan Arnett recorded his fourth career double-double as he had 12 points and 12 rebounds in the two-point loss.

North Texas has a quick turnaround as they face undefeated Saint Mary's on the road Friday night.
