Men's Golf Opens Play at All-American

HUMBLE, Texas - The UNT men's golf team opened play at the All-American Intercollegiate on Monday at the Golf Club of Houston with 36 holes of play and enter Tuesday's final round in 13th place after posting one of the better second rounds of the day.
UNT shot a 299-294 and sit at 17-over par, one shot back of Texas State, two shots back of two teams tied for 10th and four back of ninth-place Penn.
The Mean Green were led by sophomore Joe Stover and senior James Tureskis, who are tied for 16th at even-par after Tureskis shot a 72-72 and Stover rebounded in the second round for an opening-day 75-69, thanks to his five second-round birdies.
In the individual tournament, Loic Ettlin sits in fourth place going to Tuesday's final round at 1-under after his 71-72.
