
Softball Closes Home Schedule, Hosts South Florida

Mean Green sit a half-game behind the Bulls in The American standings
DENTON, Texas – UNT softball hosts South Florida for the final home series of the season beginning Friday at 5 p.m. from Lovelace Stadium. The three-game series will be streamed on ESPN+ with game two set for Saturday at 2 p.m. and game three on Sunday at noon.
North Texas (33-14, 15-6) currently occupies third place in the American Athletic Conference, a half-game behind South Florida (36-13, 15-5-1), after it completed a sweep of UAB. In American play, UNT leads the league in batting average (.358), on-base percentage (.447), slugging percentage (.574), hits (190), runs (156), RBI (141) and stolen bases (30).
On Wednesday, the Bulls dropped a midweek matchup at No. 8 Florida after it swept each of its past two conference series over Tulsa and Memphis, respectively. The Mean Green defeated USF two games to one in last season's series, the first ever contests between the programs.
For the duration of the 2025 season, fans are encouraged to utilize Walt Parker Road as the primary route to access parking near Lovelace Stadium as South Bonnie Brae Street will be closed at Airport Road.
