STILLWATER, Okla. – UNT softball is set for a midweek rematch at No. 23 Oklahoma State on Wednesday at 6 p.m. from Cowgirl Stadium. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
North Texas (34-16) dropped its final home series of the season to South Florida on Sunday after a 10-inning marathon ended 15-14 in favor of the Bulls. The Mean Green set new single-game team records in hits, total bases and at-bats after it forced extra innings in a battle atop the American Athletic Conference standings.
The nationally ranked Cowgirls (29-17) won its Big 12 series over Kansas two games to three but sit in sixth place in the conference entering the final week of regular season play. Both teams rank inside the top 50 in NCAA RPI rating with OSU at No. 19 and UNT at No. 44 in the nation.
The Mean Green fell to the then-No. 15 Cowgirls 10-2 in seven innings at Lovelace Stadium on March 5. Wednesday will mark the 33rd meeting between the two programs and 10th for head coach Rodney DeLong.
