Kenny Sharpe joined the UNT men's basketball team as a graduate manager for the Mean Green staff ahead of the 2022-23 season.
Sharpe’s duties include assisting with the day-to-day operations of the program, assisting with all practices, workouts and games, processing practice and game film, and creating general and customized recruiting material. He also specializes in player development.
Sharpe graduated with his bachelor's degree from Lincoln University of PA and was a men's basketball standout guard for the Lions. He led the team in scoring as a senior, averaging over 14 points per game, and was one of the team's top distributors. Sharpe led Lincoln to the CIAA North Division championship during the 2012-2013 season. He also earned first-team All CIAA honors.
Prior to his time at Lincoln, Sharpe began his college career at Navarro College where his head coach was current North Texas assistant Johnny Estelle. Sharpe and Estelle led the Bulldogs to a Region 14 championship and a Final Four appearance at the National Tournament.
After graduating, Sharpe played professionally in China. He was also the skills development trainer for Texas Flight Elite AAU program.
He is actively pursuing his Master’s Degree in Recreation, Event and Sports Management.
Sharpe hails from Chester, Pennsylvania.
