Kady Self

North Texas softball added two-time Women’s College World Series champion Kady Self to the staff as a volunteer assistant in September 2022. Prior to joining the Mean Green, Self was the head coach for the Gametime Stars Fastpitch Softball 18U team in Oklahoma City.
Self was a four-year letter winner at Oklahoma, primarily playing left field and first base. She won two national championships with the Sooners, in 2013 and 2016. She also won Big 12 titles all four years she was with the program. She finished her career at OU ranked sixth all-time in batting average at .369 and ninth with a .456 on-base percentage.
Self was a two-time member of the NFCA Central All-Region team as well as the All-Big 12 team, in 2014 and 2015. She also collected Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors in 2014 and 2016.
