Stephen Holton

With 13 years of coaching experience, Stephen Holton enters his first year with North Texas as a volunteer assistant coach in 2017, working almost exclusively with the pitching staff.
His coaching career began at Texas Tech University where he was a volunteer assistant from 2004-2006. After leaving Texas Tech he went on to have a very successful 10-year sales career.
From 2006-2010 he had his own softball organization called Sting. Holton was the Umpire in Chief for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Softball Association from 2011-2012.Â
During a field coaching hiatus, he continued to give private hitting and fielding lessons. Holton returned to coaching in 2012 by working with the Texas Fusion Organization until 2015. Realizing his passion for coaching, he left the corporate world in 2015 to pursue softball coaching opportunities at the collegiate level.
