North Texas managed only two hits in the nightcap but was able to score two runs off them. Maxey singled in the third inning, stole second and then made it safely to third base after a sacrifice bunt by Kelei Walker. Bostic saw her home with a groundout to the shortstop to give NT a 1-0 lead.
Maxey posted her team-leading 10th double in the fifth inning, scoring pinch runner Raci Burnett. Burnett ran for Maureen Kelley, who reached on an error. Hacker held PV scoreless for six innings until giving up a solo home run in the seventh. The junior forced a groundout and a pop fly to hold onto the win.
