Cranmer Named To SBC All-Tournament Team

Bowling Green, KY (5/16/05) - North Texas senior outfielder Stephanie Cranmer was named to the 2005 Sun Belt All-Tournament Team after helping the Mean Green to a 2-2 record in the conference tournament this past week.
Cranmer led North Texas in the tournament with a .416 batting average. She posted five hits in the four games, including two multi-hit games against New Mexico State.
Cranmer received numerous accolades during her senior year, including being named to the Sun Belt All-Conference team for the second straight year. The Moreno Valley, Calif. native received first-team all-conference recognition last year. In 2005, she was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week and received North Texas Mean Green Classic All-Tournament Team honors.
In her two years at North Texas, she has compiled a .302 batting average, recorded 114 hits and posted 34 multi-hit games. She will leave the program as the leader in batting average, hits, multiple-hit games and on-base percentage.
North Texas finished the 2005 season with a 15-38 overall record and a 6-14 conference mark.
