Waters And Muller Named To All-Tournament Team

Tulsa, Okla. (2/27/06) Junior Susan Waters and sophomore Katya Muller were named to the Holiday Inn Select-Tulsa Festival All-Tournament Team after leading the North Texas softball team to a 3-2 record and third-place finish this past weekend.
Waters was named to the all-tournament team at the Tulsa Festival for the second straight year. This past weekend, she hit .333, going 6-for-18 in five games. Five of her six hits were for extra bases, including two home runs. In the comeback win against Creighton, Waters knocked in the game-winning run with a double in the top of the seventh inning.
Muller hit. 389 in five games, going 7-for-18 with two home runs and six RBI. She went 3-for-4 in the win against Louisiana-Monroe, including one home run. She knocked in three runs with a long ball against Creighton that tied the game at 4-4.
North Texas (7-8) is off to its best start in the three-year history of the softball program. The Mean Green returns to action on Wednesday, March 1 at 3 pm against Louisiana-Monroe at Denia Park.
