Mean Green Softball Hosts First-Ever Alumni Game

DENTON (9/21/07) - The North Texas softball team kicked off its fall season with a game against Seminole State on Thursday and continues with its first-ever Alumni Game on Friday night at 7 pm at Lovelace Stadium.
Entering its fifth season in the new era of Mean Green softball, North Texas finally has enough players to field an Alumni Team that will face the current NT team. Nine of the 10 student-athletes that played for the Mean Green since 2004 will be returning to Denton for their first-ever Alumni Game. Former softball student-athletes coming back for the game include Stephanie Cranmer, Nicole Rodriguez and Mandy Hacker.
The North Texas softball team will be in action the next two weekends at home, starting with the North Texas Playday on Saturday, Sept. 29.
