Mean Green Softball Hosts UTSA Today At 1 pm

DENTON, Texas (3/19/08) - The North Texas softball team hosts UTSA today at 1 pm at Lovelace Stadium. The Mean Green is coming off a 4-3 victory against Texas Tech on Monday night.
The Mean Green (12-16) is in the middle of an 11-game homestand at Lovelace Stadium. NT is currently 3-2 and will round out play this weekend in a three-game series against Florida Atlantic. UTSA is currently 12-11 this season and has won its last three games against Southeastern LA.
Freshman Mallory Cantler posted the game-winning hit against Texas Tech in the bottom of the seventh inning. She leads the Mean Green with a .359 batting average, 33 hits, eight doubles and 17 RBI. Rebecca Waters hit her third home run of the season in the win. She has hit three home runs in the last four games.
