Mean Green Softball Honors Seniors On Saturday

DENTON (4/18/08) - The North Texas softball team will honor its seven seniors on Saturday, April 19 when the Mean Green faces Western Kentucky at Lovelace Stadium. The doubleheader starts at 2 pm and the senior class will be honored in between the two games.
The Mean Green (23-26, 8-10) looks to move up the standings in the Sun Belt when it faces the Hilltoppers in a three-game series. North Texas is currently in seventh place with a 8-10 conference mark, while Western Kentucky is ninth with a 2-12 mark in the Sun Belt.
North Texas will honor its seven seniors in between the two games on Saturday. The Mean Green will say good-bye to Lauren Bergstrom, Heather Bostic, Kyleigh Callender, Kristina Fowler, Taylor Johnston, Katya Muller and Jonna Williams.
The Mean Green won its 23rd game of the season with its 9-1 victory against TWU. The 23 wins sets a program record. With seven regular-season games remaining, North Texas can make 2008 a season for the record books.
