Watch The Softball Team Compete In The SBC Tourney Today

TROY, Ala. - (5/7/08)- The sixth-seeded Mean Green softball team will take on Troy, the No. 3 seed, in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament today at 3 pm. All the games are been streamed via the web and can be viewed on the Sun Belt web site.
The Mean Green is 4-0 in first-round games in the conference tournament, but is 0-3 against Troy this year. The Trojans swept North Texas in Troy during the regular season. The Mean Green is 3-8 all-time against Troy and 0-2 in the conference tournament.
Katya Muller and Mallory Cantler earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors at last night's conference banquet. Cantler leads the team with 68 hits, one hit shy of tying Muller's single-season hit record of 69. Muller is second on the team with 57 hits, two hits shy of moving into the top five in NT's single-season record book. She already holds two of the five records for hits in a season.
Troy is hosting the 2008 Sun Belt Conference Championship in Troy, Ala. The tournament will conclude with the championship on Saturday, May 12. The tournament will be streamed live on www.sunbeltsports.org for $9.95. Please visit the Sun Belt web site for more information.
