Softball Hosts Quality Inn & Suites Tournament This Weekend

DENTON, Texas (2/27/09) - The North Texas softball team hosts its second straight tournament this weekend with the Quality Inn & Suites Tournament at Lovelace Stadium. Harvard and Kansas will compete in three-team, two-day tournament.
The Mean Green (8-6) is off to its best start in school history but looks to snap a two-game losing streak on Saturday. Oklahoma State swept a doubleheader against NT on Wednesday night in Denton. Harvard is opening its season in Texas, while Kansas (6-9) is receiving votes in Top 25 polls.
Harvard and Kansas kick off the tournament with an 11 am game on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Lovelace Stadium. North Texas plays its first game at 1:30 pm against Kansas and then follows with a 4 pm game against Harvard.
