Mean Green Softball Faces FAU Tonight On The Road

Boca Raton, FL (3/21/09) - The North Texas softball team returns to conference play tonight with a doubleheader against FAU in Boca Raton, Fla.
The Mean Green (15-11) went 1-1 in non-conference play this past week with an 8-1 home win against UTA and a 5-3 loss to Texas. North Texas took two out of the three games last year against the Owls at home.
With her two hits against Texas, including her second home run of the season, senior Sarah Jones increased her batting average to a career-high .365. With her two hits on Thursday, she also moved ahead of Kristina Fowler for sole possession of fourth place in the career hits category at North Texas with 127. Heather Bostic is in third with 136 career hits. Jones is third in career doubles with 27.
