Mean Green Softball Game Called After Four Innings

ARLINGTON, Texas (4/29/09) - The North Texas softball team's game against UTA was called in the fourth inning because of rain on Wednesday night in Arlington. The Mean Green needed to play five innings in order for it to go down in the record books as an official game.
The Mean Green hosts the Sun Belt Conference Championship this year at Lovelace Stadium, starting on May 6 and concluding with the championship game on Saturday afternoon. This is the first time that North Texas is hosting the softball conference championships.
North Texas finishes its regular season with a Thursday night game against Texas State on the road.
