Deadline To Ordering Strikeout Cancer T-Shirts Is Monday

DENTON, Texas (3/11/10) - The deadline to order Strikeout Cancer t-shirts for the Mean Green softball team's charity game is Monday, March 15. The University of North Texas softball team will be hosting its third annual Strikeout Cancer Game with UTA on March 24th at Lovelace Stadium. This year's event will benefit the FIGHT AGAINST OVARIAN CANCER.
In an effort to raise as much money as possible, we are selling commemorative t-shirts. All orders are due by March 15th, and orders can be picked up on March 22nd. Please submit payment (cash or check only) before picking up your order.
North Texas will host UTA at Lovelace Stadium at 6 p.m. on March 24th and admission is free in lieu of a cash donation. All proceeds generated from the gate and t-shirt sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Over the last two years, North Texas softball has donated over $4,000 to the American Cancer Society.
The Xplosion softball team is having a bake sale beginning at 10:00 a.m. on March 24 at Johnny Joes in Krum to help the Mean Green raise money for the American Cancer Society. The Explosion are in the 10 and under age group coached by Felicia Walker, who play on a select league out of Highland Village.
