Fraley Named NCJAA All-American

DENTON, Texas (6/3/10) -- Newly-signed North Texas softball student-athlete Maddelyn Fraley topped off her junior college career with third-team NJCAA All-American honors. Fraley, a sophomore first baseman for the 19th-ranked Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Lady Norse, was one of 45 NJCAA softball players honored this past week with All-American status.
Fraley was also named first-team all-region for the second straight year. The first baseman batted .373 this past season and led NEO with 53 RBI. She was tied for third in the nation with a team-leading 27 doubles. The Lady Norse finished the 2010 season with a 43-14 record after losing in the Division I Region II Tournament.
Fraley will join the Mean Green as a junior for the 2010-11 school year. She joins Jordan Terry, Kailee Carr, Darian Blake and Jackie Miller who all signed during the early signing period as incoming freshmen.
