My Summer Gig: Stacey Underwood

College athletes are constantly under the spotlight during the season, but it's the work these students do away from the court or field that often goes unnoticed. Whether helping with a camp, volunteering or working part time, student-athletes have numerous responsibilities to juggle during the summer as they prepare for the coming season.
Every Monday throughout the next month, MeanGreenSports.com will be giving you an inside look into the summer jobs of North Texas student-athletes.
Who wouldn't want to make a snow cone all day and get paid?
Softball player Stacey Underwood has spent her summer doing just that, working for Kona Ice of Denton, a mobile shaved ice truck. Here during the dog days of summer, Underwood, a junior student-athlete at North Texas, has helped students and area residents beat the Texas summer heat. That, and made people's days.
With a flexible schedule, she's still able to work out in preparation for the 2016 softball season, but the work at Kona Ice can prove to be a workout in it of itself. She even drives the truck.
Check out the video above to get a look at Tracey Underwood's summer gig.
