Softball Begins Conference USA Tournament As Seven Seed

IRVING - After a thrilling final weekend of regular-season play, the 2018 Conference USA Softball Championship bracket has been set. The Mean Green enter the tournament as the seven seed and will take on sixth-seeded Middle Tennessee at 1:30 p.m. CT Wednesday.
The action runs from May 9-12 at the D. L. Phillips Softball Complex in Charlotte, beginning with single-elimination play on day one. No. 3 FIU and No. 4 LA Tech await the winners of UNT-MTSU and Marshall-Western Kentucky, respectively.
The two remaining teams after day one, along with top seed and regular-season champion Florida Atlantic and No. 2 UAB, will play a double-elimination format on days two and three until a champion is crowned.
All games leading up to the final contest will be streamed on beIN Connect and C-USA's Youtube channel. Saturday's championship game will air on CBS Sports Network at 11 a.m.
