Softball Announces Fall Schedule

DENTON – North Texas softball has announced its 2019 fall schedule, featuring a home game against Oklahoma State, and a trip to Norman to face No. 2 Oklahoma. The full fall slate will span the entire month of October, with seven out of eight games played at home.
Murray State College opens the schedule Oct. 1, in Denton at 5 p.m. NCTC will visit on Oct. 2 at 6 p.m., before Weatherford College comes to Lovelace Stadium on Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. Senior outfielder Kenzie Young will get a visit from former teammates when Butler Community College from Derby, Kansas, visits Denton on Oct. 11, for a 4 p.m. game. Young transferred to North Texas from Butler prior to last season. Butler won the 2016 NJCAA National Championship.
The two strongest opponents on the fall schedule come in back-to-back games. North Texas will host Oklahoma State on Oct.12, at 3 p.m., before facing No. 2 Oklahoma on the road at 6 p.m on Oct. 16. It is the only away game of the fall.
The Mean Green return home for games on consecutive days with Vernon College Oct. 29, at 6 p.m., before Grayson College on Oct. 30, at 6 p.m.
