UNT to Play Team USA in "Stand Beside Her" Tour

DENTON– North Texas softball has announced that the Mean Green will take part in an exhibition game against Team USA as part of the "Stand Beside Her" tour.

The Stand Beside Her Tour is a series of competitions and training opportunities for the USA Softball Women's National Team as they prepare for the 2020 Olympic Summer Games in Tokyo.

"What an honor it is to play against Team USA," head coach Rodney DeLong said. "They are the best team in the world and it is a great opportunity for us to compete against and learn from some of our game's best and most influential players."

The Mean Green will face off with Team USA on Tuesday, April 21st at AirHogs Stadium in Grand Prairie. The two teams will compete in an exhibition 35 minutes after the conclusion of Team USA's exhibition with Oklahoma Christian which is set for 6 p.m.

Tickets for the event are already on sale and can be purchased directly from USA Softball's "Road To Gold" webpage. General Seating tickets are $25 for per seat while 150 Standing Room Only tickets are available for $10 a piece. Purchased tickets are good for both games on the scheduled day.
