Mean Green Set For Final Dual of Season

DENTON – North Texas swimming and diving will conclude it's 2019-2020 dual season in Iowa this weekend. The Mean Green will take on Iowa State and Northern Iowa in a Triangular dual in Ames, Iowa.

The Mean Green (3-2) are coming off their recent win over Incarnate Word to close out their season's home slate. North Texas only won seven of three 16 events but big individual wins by Jenny Holwell (100 Breast), Kaitlyn Carr (50 Free), Meghan Miller (1-Meter) and Leigh Faires McGee (100 Free) were enough to give the Mean Green a chance heading into the 400 Free Relay and a North Texas win in that event sealed the win for the Mean Green.

Iowa State (3-4) is coming off a loss at West Virginia while Northern Iowa (8-3) is coming off a win against Omaha with both events happening on January 25. All three schools met earlier this year during the Kansas Classic with Iowa State taking second, North Texas taking fourth and Northern Iowa taking fifth.
