Wilcox Cards Top-10, Leads UNT At Trinity Forest

DALLAS - The UNT men's golf team finished play on Tuesday at the Trinity Forest Invitational by shooting a 1-over 285 and finishing the tournament at Trinity Forest Golf Club in fifth place at 1-over par.
The Mean Green were led by senior Sean Wilcox, who shot a 71-69-70 and tied for 10th at 3-under par. Sophomore Vicente Marzilio shot a 69-72-73 and tied for 17th at 1-over along with classmate and countryman Diego Prone, who shot a 71-72-71. Sophomore Tucker Allen followed with a 71-73-71 to finish at 2-over and in a tie for 22nd.Â
"Sean Wilcox had his best finish at UNT," Mean Green head coach Brad Stracke said. "He fought hard and had an amazing short game this week. Overall, we played better this week and will continue to improve throughout the season. I feel like our best golf is ahead of us."
