North Texas is set for the third consecutive midweek contest as they travel west to take on Abilene Christian. The Mean Green and Wildcats are meeting for the second time this season after North Texas run-ruled ACU 10-2 on February 23 in Denton for their fourth-straight win over the Wildcats. North Texas enters the matchup having won six of their last 10 while ACU has lost seven of their last 10.

North Texas vs. Abilene Christian
• The Mean Green and Wildcats are meeting for the 10th matchup all-time, second during 2021 and fifth in the last two seasons. North Texas has won the previous four meetings while Abilene Christian won the most recent matchup in Abilene in 2019.
• North Texas won the previous matchup over Abilene Christian this season with a 10-2 run-rule victory on Feb. 23 in Denton.
• North Texas is seeking their first win over Abilene Christian in a true road contest all-time. The Mean Green have only beaten the Wildcats away from Denton at neutral sites with the most recent being a pair of wins in Norman, OK at the Courtyard Marriott Tournament in 2020.
• The Wildcats have lost seven of their last 10 matchups including a 3-6 start to Southland Conference Play and a 5-15 record since the two teams last met.
• Abilene Christian is led offensively by sophomore Val Rudd who is hitting .282 on the season with 20 hits, a pair of doubles and triples, three home runs on 10 RBI. The pitching staff is anchored by redshirt senior Samantha Bradley who has a team-high 15 appearances and 14 starts in the circle this season with a 4.91 ERA and .336 opponent batting average in 72.2 IP.
